#1 - Marketing Tips
----------------------------------
----------------------------------
Easy, Low cost marketing ideas:

1) Always carry Biz cards around and distribute them everywhere.
Joe Girard, the author of How to Sell Anything to Anybody, made his
millions selling cars. Yes, cars! One car at a time. He built up a solid
base of customers who kept coming back to him.

How did he do it? Well, one way that he got new prospects was to
spread his business cards like grass seed: everywhere!
- He would put a biz card in every envelope he mailed out to anyone;
to pay his bills, to send birthday cards, etc.
- He would leave his biz card everywhere. When he was in a restaurant,
a bank, a gas station, he would just leave it on the table, desk, or wherever.
- He would leave it EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME!

He had his biz cards printed by the thousands. The actual cost
for an individual card was so low, he didn't care that he may be wasting them.
He knew that most of his cards would be discarded. That didn't matter.
Because, if he got one sale, it would make him thousands of dollars.

2) Print something on the back of the card.
The main expense of a business card is getting that first side printed. Adding a second side of printing is very low priced. So, use the second side!

What to put on the second side?
Do you have anything additional to sell besides your show?
I also do Super-Memory Demonstrations, and I have a set of audio CDs on the subject. So, that is what I have printed on the back of my magic business cards. Some people may be interested in it and buy it, with no more effort from me
than handing out my biz card.

A good example of this is a group that had called me about doing a magic show for their association Christmas party. Well, she called me up to tell me that they were not going to hire me for the Christmas party. But then she said,
"I understand that you do Memory Workshops..."
So instead of buying my Magic Show, this group bought my 3 hour Memory Workshop. So I made twice as much on that as I would have on the magic show.

Just let people know what you do!
Use Biz Card Side 2 to tell them!

#2 - The Bad Part About Being a Performer is..
----------------------------------
----------------------------------
If Performing is your main income source, then you know some of the negatives about it:
- Uncertain income.
- Some low income months (like Nov.)
- No residual income
(Residual income = work once and get paid over and over)

I'm not saying that I don't want to be a magician.
I do. But I wish that I could eliminate those negatives and keep all the positives. I found out how...
