#1 - Questions about pricing restaurant

A reader wrote in to ask about setting prices at restaurants. If you perform in restaurants, how much should you charge?
Fact: You are not going to get your usual $100 - $350 / hour for doing strolling magic.
You will need to charge a lot less in order to get the gig at most restaurants. But you'll be performing there every
week. So your restaurant will be your best customer.
In the past year, my prices have been under $100 for 2 hours of restaurant magic. In the small city of Rochester, MN, that is about the limit. But in Mpls and St. Paul, apparently, some performers are getting more. It depends on where you live.
Now, if you have the flexibility of not performing at a low-paying restaurant job when you get another show, then you have the best of both worlds. If you have another performer that you can call on to fill in when you're gone, then the restaurant isn't left hanging.
But, when I approach a restaurant for a weekly gig, I'm not thinking "Oh I'm not making very much money at this, so it's not important to me..." I'm thinking, "This customer is worth more than $4000/year!"
Plus, I get to give out my business card for every table that I perform at. It's like I"m getting paid to advertise!

It's a prediction trick. A real fooler and very easy to do! If you can perform the Invisible Deck, then you can do this trick.
The audience is really impressed because you've committed yourself to one certain card. It's a permanent mark.
